Sigh... So I stumbled into this place. Just to let you know, I have eaten these dishes elsewhere before. I had the katsu curry and tori don. The tori don was good, but it was very oily. The curry was not up to par, and it didn't even taste like Japanese curry. Atmosphere The place was cute, with great decor and music. Very Japanese, like a small casual diner. But it was very dirty. There was no one in the restaurant and three people working. Everything should've been spotless. Service The workers were very nice. There was one guy sweeping in the back, but the others were just talking in the kitchen while one cooked. They should've been cleaning. Low-key made me not want to eat there. I took a picture of the dirty soy sauce bottle. Yuck.

⭐⭐⭐½ A mixed experience—the ramen didn’t quite hit, but the donburi definitely helped redeem the meal. 🍜 What stood out: Unfortunately, the ramen noodles were noticeably mushy and lacked the texture you want from a good bowl of ramen. The flavors were decent, but the noodle texture made it hard to really enjoy. 🍚 The highlight: The rice bowls were much better. The donburi had good flavor, satisfying portions, and ended up being the strongest part of our meal. If we come back, I’d probably skip the ramen and explore more of the rice bowl options. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who this is great for: Families Casual lunches and dinners Donburi and rice bowl fans Anyone looking for Japanese comfort food 🙏 Real note: When “ramen” is in the name, expectations for the noodles are naturally pretty high. Getting the texture right would have made a significant difference in the experience. Too much oil in the Tori Mayu. ❤️ Final take: The ramen was disappointing because of the mushy noodles, but the donburi was much more enjoyable. There’s enough here that I’d give YOICHI another try—next time, I’m sticking with the rice bowls.

I had the most wonderful experience here- not only bc of the food but because of the excellent customer service from GAGE. He was super friendly and accommodating as well. This is the cutest spot in Haltom City - very cozy and fun! I am so glad to have been brought here by my dear friends. I highly recommend! The chicken broth is also to die for.

Absolutely loved it! It's a fun and casual spot with fantastic food. We had the Tori Shio, Tori Shoyu, and the Katsu Don and loved them all. I would highly recommend the Shio with pork. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The people with me weren't as familiar with Japanese food or ramen and the two guys behind the counter walked them through all the options. They were very attentive once we got our food and thanked us for coming in. There's even a robot waiter that brings you your order which was fun. :) Would highly recommend Yoichi for the great food and amazing service!

Amazing food and great atmosphere! I got the Tori Shio Ramen and it was absolutely delicious. The broth is the best I think I've ever had, having tried ramen in various places across and around the DFW metroplex. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the chicken was sooo good. We had the Yakitori too and it was perfect 😫🙏 you can tell the owner was an anime lover. They had One Piece and Naruto playing, and a few figures scattered around. Overall, very cool place and I'll definitely be back!
